It’s been a month since the MED-Routes team joined the Sustainable Tourism Mission 2nd Annual Meeting, held in Tirana, Albania, on 1–2 October 2025 — and we’re still feeling the inspiration!
The event brought together key actors and EU-funded projects working to shape the future of tourism across the Mediterranean and beyond. MED-Routes was recognised as a strong example of how cultural heritage, sustainability, and climate action can go hand in hand through well-coordinated regional strategies.
Participating in this meeting allowed the MED-Routes partnership to connect with peer initiatives focusing on innovation, circularity, climate resilience, and biodiversity, reinforcing our shared mission to build a more sustainable and inclusive tourism model, and paving the way towards the Barcelona Convention 2026 and stronger EuroMED cooperation on sustainable tourism 🌱
Two days of great energy, meaningful exchanges, and strong collaborations have paved the way for exciting new synergies — and we’re looking forward to seeing them grow into impactful results for the Mediterranean region. 🌿
Stay tuned as MED-Routes continues its journey toward sustainable tourism rooted in culture, nature, and community!
