This session will focus on the MED-Routes methodology, a replicable model designed to support the creation and promotion of eco-itineraries through participatory and sustainable approaches. The methodology integrates research, stakeholder engagement, and co-design into a clear step-by-step process that helps local authorities and operators develop tourism experiences grounded in circular economy principles, environmental responsibility, and community value.
As a practical example it will be presented the work carried out in the Romagna Faentina, where the methodology has led to the creation of the eco-itinerary of the European route of ceramics: Eco-itinerary in cultural landscape: clay and history, art and nature.
